High School Students from Taiwan visited ToMMo

    News: 2024/02/13

On January 23rd, 2024, Students in Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (SAKURA Exchange Program in Science) paid a visit to ToMMo. This time, we accepted 8 high school students from Taiwan.
This exchange program has regularly visited ToMMo since 2014, and it has been a while to accept students due to COVID-19 for about five years since 2019.

Following an introduction of ToMMo by Professor Fuji Nagami, they took a tour of Supercomputer system, cryo-electron microscopy, biobank, sequencing facility, Sendai Community Support Center, Sendai Child Health Square.
As the visit was made immediately after the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024, the students seemed interested in ToMMo, which was established in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
