Tohoku University Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (hereinafter referred to as ‘ToMMo’) will comply with this policy when operating official social media accounts.

Definition of ‘Social Media’

For the purposes of this policy, ‘social media’ is defined as any media where an unspecified amount of people can communicate with each other via the internet and other web-based technologies.

Official Social Media Accounts

In operating the official account, ToMMo will comply with laws and regulations, public order and morals, and rules and regulations established by ToMMo, and respect the rights and privacy of third parties, including copyrights, intellectual property rights, and personality rights. Additionally, strict measures will be taken towards any comments and replies that include slander and defamation. Measures include, but is not limited to, those such as immediate deletion.

For ToMMo Personnel Using Social Media

When using social media, staff and students affiliated with ToMMo are reminded to comply with laws and regulations, public order and morals, and the rules and regulations set forth by Tohoku University and ToMMo, and to use good common sense in their words and actions at all times.

Although the materials and information published on our social media is up-to-date as of the time of posting, it is subject to change at anytime.

This policy is subject to change without any notice. The changed Social Media Policy shall take effect from the time ToMMo publishes it on this page.
