On May 20th , 2013, Tohoku Medical Megabank Project Community-Based Cohort Study (TMM CommCohort Study) has been stated participants recruitment. The first step of this cohort study began in Shichigahama town where located by the sea and heavily suffer from tsunami and earthquake. 

TMM CommCohort Study is population-based cohort, and this cohort is going to recruit 80,000 participants who are general Japanese people, living in Miyagi and Iwate Prefectures, and over 20 years old.
