New article about transcriptome analysis using long-read sequencing technology was published on the Molecular and Cellular Biology.
Regulation of cytoprotective gene-expression is essential for our health. In this paper, in order to delineate precisely the transcript isoform usage in the stress response, we conducted a full-length transcriptome analysis using long-read sequencing technology. We determined the transcript isoform usages of genes related to the oxidative stress response. Our present study also argues that there are important benefits of long-read technology in the transcriptome analysis. This work was partly supported by AMED Platform Program for Promotion of Genome Medicine.
