Prof. Masayuki Yamamoto has given lectures at Universidad de Salamanca, Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas (CNIO), Fundación Reina Sofía, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain in October 2016. Also, DiCYT which is a Spanish science technology website, wrote an article about his lectures.
This is the first contact that will affect in the scientific aspect, especially because Salamanca is the head office of The National DNA Bank Carlos III (BNADN). For this reason, Dr. José Abel Flores Villarejo, the director of the Japanese Hispanic Cultural center of the Universidad de Salamanca, affirmed that his visiting was a great opportunity for them.
Dr. Flores visited Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (ToMMo) in April 18, 2016. He also heard about our genome research which he hopes to pursue academic exchanges in.
In the near future, BNADN will try to establish collaborations and common projects with us.
