The recipients of the "Commendation for Science and Technology" by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, were announced on April 7th, 2014.
Professor Hideyasu Kiyomoto (Department Chair, Community Medical Supports) won the Prizes for Science and Technology, Public Understanding Promotion Category. Professor Shigeo Kure (Deputy Executive Director) and Professor Teiji Tominaga (Department Chair, Health Record Informatics) won the Prizes for Science and Technology, Research Category.
