On March 6, 2017, Mr. Jason P. Hyland, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires ad interim and Ms. Rachel Brunette-Chen, Principal Officer of U.S. Consulate General Sapporo paid a visit to ToMMo.
Following an introduction of ToMMo, they took a tour of the facilities such as Sendai Community Support Center, Sequencing facility, Biobank and Supercomputer System.
Mr. Hyland said he is very impressed how fast to create such a beautiful building for advanced research right after The Great East Japan Earthquake and great collaboration with NIH.
