    – SENDAI, Nov. 13, 2012 (Immediate Release) –
Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (ToMMo), Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, are so sorry to know that Guatemala has also suffered the serious natural disaster of
Magnitude 7.4 earthquake on the 7th of November and Magnitude 6.8 earthquake on 11th of November respectively after we had heard about the damage by Hurricane Sandy in the United States.

ToMMo prays for the victims of the recent earthquakes and hope that all the patients suffered by the earthquake would recover soon. We also hope that medical practitioners at the hospitals in Guatemala and Myanmar are well during their work especially in emergency rooms.

One year and eight months has passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11 in 2011. Since February in 2012, ToMMo has been conducting the long-term comprehensive health investigation in the affected
area. Step-by-step the Tohoku region is making a recovery from the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami.

To share our knowledge and experiences globally, we could answer any queries from medical practitioners all over the world regarding the emergency and follow-up medical practices that we experienced during the crisis of 3.11 earthquake and tsunami.
