Highly Cited Researcher of Clarivate Analytics recognizes world-class researchers selected for their exceptional research performance, demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science. Approximately 4,000 researchers who have been selected in one or more of 21 broad fields, such as biochemistry, engineering, physics, etc.
The Cross-Field category is a new category that aims to identify researchers who have contributed to highly cited papers across several different fields, and this is the first year that they identify researchers with cross-field impact.
