The 2023 Society for Free Radical Research – Europe (SFRR-E) Honorary Lecture Award was presented at the annual meeting of the SFRR-E, which took place in Vienna, Austria, from June 6th to 9th, 2023, with researchers from all around the world in attendance.

Executive Director Masayuki Yamamoto was honored with the SFRR-E Annual Award. The award was presented to him by SFRR-E President Juan Sastre and Professor Antonio Cuadrado Pastor from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. Yamamoto was recognized for his significant contributions to the understanding of the KEAP1-NRF2 system in health and disease.
