Dr. Fuse gave a presentation on the project at the seminar hosted by Royal Danish Embassy

    News: 2019/09/18

On September 10th, 2019, Danish Life Science Seminar “Personalized Medicine- and Health in the Future ~ What are the issues/challenges common to Japan and Denmark? ~” was held in Tokyo, and Dr. Nobuo Fuse, Vice executive director of ToMMo, gave a lecture entitled " Tohoku Medical Megabank Project – A Challenge to Realize Personalized Medicine".

At the event, a lecture by Prof. Estrid Høgdall, Director of Danish Cancer Biobank, and a panel discussion with speakers from the Cabinet Secretariat Health and Medical Strategy Office and the Fundamental Research Division of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development were held. Based on the situation in Denmark, where advanced biobank projects targeting the entire population were linked to various highly-digitalized information, discussions were made on comparisons with Japan's systems and the current situation. Prior to the event, a member of the ToMMo visited Royal Danish Embassy and met with Ambassador Peter Taksøe-Jensen.
