On February 14th, 2020, Dr. Bartlomiej Wilkowski, Head of IT, Danish National Biobank, paid a visit to ToMMo. He attended the Japan Denmark International Symposium in Tokyo, following a visit to Sendai as well. Before his lecture, he took a tour of the facilities such as supercomputer system, biobank, array analysis facility, sequence facility, and Sendai Community Support Center.

At the seminar, he has given a lecture about the structure and operation of the biobank, in addition to their characteristic collections such as Guthrie cards of blood taken from all the newborn babies, and collaboration research results leveraging the biobank samples in Denmark.
