On July 30th, 2018, Dr. Jennifer A. Doudna, University of California, Howard Hughes Medical Institute paid a visit to ToMMo. Dr. Doudna is well known by her great contribution for the development of CRISPR-Cas9 system. She gave a talk at "Special Lecture on the 5th Anniversary of the Tohoku Forum for Creativity focusing on Genome Editing” on July 29th, and also managed to visit ToMMo in this time.
Following an introduction of ToMMo, she took a tour of the facilities such as Supercomputer System, Biobank, Sequencing facility, Sendai Community Support Center and Sendai Child Health Square. Researchers at ToMMo had a worthy opportunity to have conversation with her.
