This center aims to contribute to promote the genome medical research activities in Japan, in cooperation with genome medical researchers and genome cohort researchers across the country. By integrating researchers in all parts of Japan and by facilitating the utilities of our research bases such as supercomputer and next generation sequencers, it tries to promote cooperation between the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project and other biobanks and institutions, and feed the outcome of these activities back into the next cooperative project. Through this cycle, it strengthens the analysis activities, and at the same time, helps to build a foundation for genome medicine in Japan.
