  • Group of Genome Sequence Analysis

The Group of Genome Sequence Analysis has been established in December 2012 in an inter-disciplinary manner as a hub of network for the whole sequence analysis project at ToMMo. We use the next-generation sequencer to analyze the whole genome sequences of the part of cohort participants both in the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project Community-Based Cohort Study and the Tohoku Medical Megabank Project Birth and Three-Generation Cohort Study. With the cooperation of other research organizations, we will identify the disease-susceptible rare variants in the population as many as possible. Such genetic information will be applied to the personalized disease prevention and medicine.
